ONLINE SESSIONS

Online Counselling, sometimes referred to as e-therapy, is a convenient, accessible, and confidential way to access therapy from the comfort of your own home or workspace. It offers the same quality of support as face-to-face sessions, using secure video or live chat platforms to create a safe therapeutic space, wherever you are.

This flexible approach is particularly helpful for those with busy or inflexible schedules, mobility difficulties, or geographical limitations. Whether you're travelling, working remotely, managing childcare, or simply prefer the privacy and ease of being in your own environment, online therapy can provide an effective and empowering solution.

As with all forms of therapy, ethical standards and professional training are essential. The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO) require that online therapists are specifically trained to practise safely and effectively in the digital space.

I have completed specialist training with the Online Therapy Institute and hold full accreditation with ACTO. This ensures that the support I offer online is grounded in best practice, professionalism, and care.

Getting Started

To begin online counselling, simply get in touch via email or the contact form on this website. Sessions are arranged in advance and delivered via a secure video platform. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a private, quiet space where you feel safe to talk. If you’re unsure whether online sessions are right for you, I’d be happy to offer a free initial consultation to talk things through.

TELEPHONE SESSIONS

Telephone Counselling offers a flexible and accessible alternative to in-person or video sessions. It provides the same level of professional support and confidentiality, simply delivered over the phone. This option can be particularly helpful if you prefer not to be seen during sessions or find comfort in speaking without visual contact.

For some, symptoms of depression, anxiety, or low motivation can make it difficult to attend appointments in person or even via video. Telephone counselling may also be a suitable choice if you're living with conditions such as agoraphobia, body dysmorphic disorder, chronic illness, or if you're recovering from fatigue or burnout.

It can be especially convenient for those with unpredictable schedules or frequent travel commitments. Whether you're at home, abroad, or simply seeking a more discreet and comfortable way to access therapy, telephone sessions offer an adaptable solution.

Getting Started
To arrange a telephone session, you can contact me via email or through the contact form on this website. Sessions are scheduled in advance, just like online therapy, and you will call me at the agreed time. All you need is a quiet, private space where you feel safe and comfortable to talk.

  • Session Frequency
Standard sessions run once a week to build momentum and continuity. In times of crisis or acute distress, sessions can be scheduled more frequently until stability returns.
  • Cancellation Policy
Please provide at least 36 working hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule without charge. Cancellations with less notice, or missed sessions, incur the full session fee.
  • Confidentiality
All sessions are strictly confidential and notes are stored securely in line with BACP, UKCP, and GDPR guidelines. Exceptions: risk of harm to self or others, safeguarding concerns, or legal requirements.
